Worldwide Insight, LLC Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

It has been an exciting (and busy!) year for Worldwide Insight since our launch last April.  Over the past 12 months, we have been fortunate enough to work with a diverse group of blue-chip clients – from emerging and large tech and telecom companies to food and agriculture companies.  Each client has a different set of needs.  For example, some of the more established global government practices have asked us to benchmark their organizations with peers, recommend best practices, and develop metrics to measure progress and success in their programs.

Other clients, who are expanding aggressively overseas, have asked us to evaluate and prioritize global markets like China, Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico in terms of government affairs needs.  We have developed specialized metrics and formulas to support these analyses.

Based in the Washington, D.C. area, we have also represented clients without a presence in D.C. before U.S. policymakers, foreign embassies, and trade associations.  We have organized successful site visits by Members of Congress, as well as senior-level executive trips to Washington, D.C.  Finally, our clients have asked us to provide strategic advice and analysis on some of the key policy issues of the day:  patent reform, trade policy, immigration reform, cyber security, and many other topics that impact their businesses.

Here are a few other highlights from our first year:

  • Becca Gould attended the Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network global conference in Istanbul, Turkey.
  • Kerry Murray led a webinar for Virginia companies investing and exporting overseas. The webinar was sponsored by the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), the state of Virginia’s economic development agency, for their Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) program companies.
  • Becca Gould participated in a panel discussion on the future of government and policy at BoxWorks 2013, a conference focused on what’s possible and what’s next in technology, business, and society.
  • Kerry Murray attended, as a guest of Dell Inc., the annual conference of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled, and operated by women in the United States.

As we reflect on the past year, we are particularly grateful for the support of our clients as well as many others who assisted us with everything from website development to marketing to accounting in the start-up phase.  We look forward to a productive second year!
